Situated 5 minutes from Hossegor golf course. We offer you B&B, half board or full board accommodation. Beautifully restored 150 year old Basque house, with over 40 golf courses in the region. | |  | Les Chenes is a fully refurbished Basque house, situated in the heart of the traditionally French village of Benesse Maremne. Five minutes by car from the spectacular beaches of Capbreton and Hossegor. Les Chenes has five twin bedrooms all on the first floor, four of which can be made into doubles and two of the rooms can be made into triples. All have en-suite showers and a safe for you to place valuables in. There is a spacious living room which looks out onto our beautiful garden and terrace, with large comfortable sofas and chairs. The dining room has a magnificent old fire place and original wooden floors and the dining room table comfortably seats 12. There is also a gym room and the hosts are both trained Sports therapists and Sports masseurs. There is a beautiful, large garden. In the Aquitaine area there are 45 golf courses, and green fees are generally speaking very reasonable. They range from under 20 Euros to 40 Euros low season and 20 Euros to 60 Euros high season. There is a five day “Golf Pass Biarritz” offering you the chance to play a different course each day. These include, Golf d’Arcangues, Golf de Bassussary, Golf de Biarritz, Golf de Moliets and Golf de Seignosse. This costs 198 Euros low season and 250 Euros high season. There is also a low season weekend pass for two rounds of golf for 80 Euros per person. There are many other activities in the area and we will be happy to tell you all about them and help you plan out your holiday.
|  | | We are within 1/2 hour of both Bayonne and Biarritz. Both beautiful old places are examples of art deco (Biarritz) with it\'s wonderful old casino and Basque architecture and fantastic old Cathedral (Bayonne). Further south, St Jean de Luz has splendid beaches and is a lovely place to explore. It is right on the boarder with Spain, so why not also explore Santander. For those interested in seeing the area, the Basque country and the Bearn region are a must. 20 minutes north of us is Dax, an old spa town. The famous healing waters will sooth away all aches and pains! The whole area is famous for it\'s wine production, one of the local wines being from the Tursan region and slightly further inland is the famous Armagnac region! This whole area is full of plenty to see and do. For those with a more restful holiday in mind, the beaches of Hossegor and Capbreton are with out a doubt some of the best in Europe and are kept immaculately clean and are constantly groomed. Surfing is very popular in this area and there are annual surf competitions attracting professional surfers from all over as the surf breaks here are considered among the best in the World. Close by there are small regional towns and villages, such as St Vincent de Tyrosse, Labenne, Ondres. These host weekly markets and all summer long there are events of interest taking place.
